Standard One statement on the water supply emergency on Sribnokilska Street

On the morning of 11 January, an emergency occurred near the construction site on Sribnokilska Street. It was not related to any construction or maintenance work on the site. It happened in water supply networks maintained by Vodokanal and located outside the boundaries of our site.

The accident happened in a utility chamber next to the site. The burst pipe flooded the chamber and the surrounding area, washed away the ground and caused the tarmac to collapse near the site and partly within its grounds. Water from the surrounding area crossed the site boundary and flooded the site.

As soon as the emergency was discovered, our site staff immediately called the emergency services responsible for these networks. Vodokanal representatives arrived at the scene and shut off the leaking pipeline.

We are working with the city services to deal with the consequences. We would stress that the water supply networks where the burst occurred are not among our site’s assets and are not maintained by us, and that the incident itself took place outside our area of responsibility.
